Reflex™

Reflex™ colors are CQV’s line of synthetic mica based pearlescent, iridescent, and metallic effect pigments, coated with either TiO2, Fe2O3, or a combination of both. They are available in a wide variety of particle size distributions which impart different levels of opacity, and various levels of luster and sparkle. They are suitable for a wide variety of applications.


Chaos®

Chaos® is a series of “premium” synthetic mica based pearlescent pigments. Using proprietary coating technology, ignificant increases in luster, opacity, and chroma are possible. In addition, the Chaos line offers some unique colors in the black and gold color space.


Ferrius®

Ferrius® a “premium” line of non-metallic metallic effect pigments coated using high purity Fe2O3. Using CQV’s proprietary coating technology the resulting pigments exhibit significantly higher chroma, luster, and opacity.

Larger particle size grades in the line also impart more significant “metallic” reflectivity along with highly saturated, clean, bright, colors.



Kromax™

Kromax™ is a series based on either synthetic or natural mica. A proprietary state-of-the-art, process and coating technology, developed by CQV is used to create pearlescent, iridescent, and metallic shades with the “maximum” level of chroma currently offered in the marketplace. The manufacturing technique leads to colors that are very highly saturated, clean, crisp, and bright.


Multiorora®

Multiorora® products are based on synthetic mica coated with additional oxide layers each having a different refractive index. (Similar to Multiorora Axion® pigments using glass flake) The resulting optically variable (multi-color) effect is due to the fine tuning and separation of white light into its specific component wavelengths. They are then perceived by an observer with changes in viewing angle. Multiorora® can be used to develop truly unique eye-catching effects when applied over, or with other pigments in a formulation. They can also be used to impart a more “subtle nuance” to existing or new color formulations.

Reflex™ Color are a line of pigments in which absorption colorants (organic or inorganic) are coated onto the surface of TiO2 coated synthetic mica.

These combination absorption/interference pigments deliver both an absorption and interference component which may be similar or complimentary in hue, depending on the combination. These types of products can significantly expand the available color space for creating unique effects.



Adamas®

Adamas® effect pigments are based on high purity platy-alumina. The combination of smooth surface characteristics along with the uniformity in thickness of the substrate flakes allow for the development of very clean, high chroma colors, that impart significant sparkle despite their small flake size. The sparkle is carried throughout the color travel (face to flop) and makes these products unique among effect pigment offerings.


Axion®

Axion®are a series of pigments based on a borosilicate glass flake substrate. The smooth surface, transparency, and uniform nature of the glass, result in exceptionally clean colors, providing a perception of depth, and transparency not available with any other standard effect pigment technology.


Axion® Silver

Axion® Silver is a glass flake base pearlescent pigment coated with silver.

Axion® Silver has strong sparkling effect and metallic silver color from silver and glass flake as substrate.

And Axion® Silver imparts electromagnetic shield effect due to the silver which used in this product.


Multiorora Axion®

Multiorora Axion® products are based on a borosilicate glass flake substrate coated with additional oxide layers of varying refractive index. (Similar to the Multrorora® pigments based on synthetic mica) The resulting optically variable (multi-color) effect is due to the fine tuning and separation of white light into specific component wavelengths. They are then perceived by an observer with changes in viewing angle. The transparent glass substrate provides an exceptional sense of

depth and cleanliness, as well as sparkle to formulations in which the Multiorora Axion® products are used.


Axion® Color

Axion® Color are a line of pigments in which absorption colorants (organic or inorganic) are coated onto the surface of TiO2 coated glass flake.

These combination absorption/interference pigments deliver both an absorption and interference component which may be similar or complimentary in hue, depending on the combination. These types of products can significantly expand the available color space for creating unique effects.



Pappus®

Pappus® are a line of effect pigments unlike any other. They have a unique structure in which the plates of TiO2 are unsupported, so therefore, have no substrate between the oxide layers. This significantly differentiates them from standard mica-based effect pigments. Without a substrate they have a low density which means more particles per unit weight.

This unique structure imparts a silky, soft-focus appearance with surprisingly strong opacity, and interference reflection colors.


Reflex™ Natural

Reflex™ Natural is the most economical product line, which as the name implies, is based on natural mica (sustainably sourced). It was the first substrates used to create pearlescent, iridescent, and non-metallic metallic shades and can be used in nearly all applications across many different industries. It is still considered the workhorse line of effect pigments.


Reflex™ Natural Color

Reflex™ Color are a line of pigments in which absorption colorants (organic or inorganic) are coated onto the surface of TiO2 coated natural mica.

These combination absorption/interference pigments deliver both an absorption and interference component which may be similar or complimentary in hue, depending on the combination. These types of products can significantly expand the available color space for creating unique effects.



Tonos™

Tonos™ is a series based on either synthetic or natural mica. Tonos™ is a product line of white color

with various sizes and consists of products with many effects used in the market.

Exterior Use

Adamas® Exterior

Adamas® effect pigments are based on a high purity platy-alumina substrate, manufactured using CQV’s patented technology. The resulting substrate has superior particle uniformity in both thickness and smoothness compared with other effect pigment substrates. Thus, resulting in the ability to create high chroma, highly saturated colors with an excellent sparkling effect not possible with other effect pigments of similar particle size. They are further surface treated using CQVs proprietary technology, to insure outstanding long-term durability and weather resistance.


Automotive Axion®

Automotive Axion® exterior products are based on a glass flake substrate. The smooth surface and uniform nature of the glass allow for the generation of highly chromatic, highly saturated colors. Its transparency adds a further dimension to

formulations in which it is used by giving the observer a sense of depth, not seen with other types of effect pigments. It is specially surface treated to enhance the long-term durability and weather resistance for use in high performance applications.


Automotive™

Automotive™ is the exterior grade version of our Reflex™ synthetic mica-based pigment line. Like all the exterior grades, they are surface treated to enhance the long-term durability and weatherability, when used in high performance applications. They impart clean, high chroma interference effects, and bright saturated non-metallic metallic effects, due to the synthetic mica substrate. The white grades (pearlescent) are especially clean and have a noticeably higher level of whiteness when compared to standard natural mica-based products. They are available in a large variety of particle size distributions to allow for maximum flexibility in fine tuning the level of opacity, luster, and sparkle.


Automotive Chaos®

Automotive Chaos® is a series of “premium” synthetic mica-based pearlescent and iridescent pigments. Using a proprietary coating technology, significant increases in luster, opacity and chroma are possible. In addition, the Automotive Chaos line offers enhanced weather resistance for use in high performance applications.


Automotive Ferrius®

Automotive Ferrius® is a “premium” line of non-metallic metallic effect pigments. The use of a proprietary oxide coating technology composed of high purity Fe2O3 result in pigments having superior chroma, luster, and opacity. Larger particle

size distributions in the line, also provide more significant “metallic” reflectivity, in combination with highly saturated, clean, bright colors. An additional surface treatment provides the benefit of greater compatibility in various resin systems, as well as significant long-term durability.


Automotive Kromax™

Automotive Kromax™ are a series based on either synthetic or natural mica. 

A proprietary state-of-the-art process and coating technology developed by CQV, is used to create pearlescent,

iridescent, and metallic shades with the “maximum” level of chroma currently available in the marketplace.

An additional surface treatment insures long term durability for high performance applications.

(multi-color) effect is due to the separation of white light into its fine-tuned component wavelengths. They are then perceived by an observer with changes in viewing angle. Automotive Multiorora® can be used to develop truly eye-catching multi-color effects when applied over, or with, other pigments in a formulation. They can also be used to impart

a more “subtle nuance” to existing or new color formulations as well.

Cosmetic Use

Mirinae®

Mirinae® effect pigments are based on high purity, plate-shaped alumina particles, whose characteristically uniform shape, thickness, and smooth surfaces, are a product of CQV’s own patented technology. The unique color space and sparkling effect that Mirinae® offers originates from the plate-shaped alumina substrate. Mirinae® will enable the development of unique and excellent cosmetics products with a different level of gloss and color purity than conventional pearlescent pigments can offer. Most of the Mirinae® products have obtained COSMOS certification.


Featheleve®

Featheleve® effect pigments feature a unique platy form of titanium dioxide enveloping a hollow core; this pigment line is substrate-free. Featheleve® effect pigments are available in white, iridescent, metallic and colored shades, all with luminous, soft glow characteristics. Being substrate-free, this pigment line is super-lightweight, and may be easily suspended in low-viscosity formulations. The Featheleve® product family respectively offers the formulator various color shades with an inherent SPF boosting functionality as well as protection against near-infrared radiation (NIR) depending on product group.


Econa® Natural

Econa® Natural is a new eco-friendly effect material featuring a surface treatment of natural plant extracts precipitated over a natural mica-based iridescent pigment. Natural plant extracts used in Econa® Natural deliver antioxidant properties to the functional pearlescent pigment. Econa® Natural offers a variety of colors depending on the natural plant extract used and shows relatively better formulation stability than other colored pearlescent pigments. Cosmetica®

Cosmetica® is a pearlescent pigment coated with a metal oxide on a synthetic fluorphlogopite (Synthetic mica) substrate. It features pure color expression, high sparkling and whiteness caused by the substrate used in Cosmetica® and offers products with various colors and particle sizes within the brand to show a wide range of applicability to mix with various formulations such as basic cosmetics, color cosmetics, and point make-up. Cosmetica® varies in color depending on the coated metal oxide and can be divided into white-colored Cosmetica series, interference-colored Sharon series, metallic-colored and glossy Blondiee series.


Soliens®

Soliens® is a pearlescent pigment using synthetic fluorphlogopite (synthetic mica) as a substrate. Soliens® is applied with high-density coating technology to provide high chroma, intense sparkling effects with excellent color purity. Representative colors include real gold color, and there are also various white and interference colors.


Hierro®

The Hierro® line features metallic-colored pearlescent pigments using synthetic fluorphlogopite as a substrate. Previously, it was somewhat difficult to express gloss and chroma due to the properties of red iron oxide, a common coating material for producing metallic colors. To overcome this phenomenon, CQV continued to research, and as a result, developed Hierro® with CQV’s own coating technology. This effort resulted in stronger metallic colors, cleaner gloss, and marvelous sparkling effects.


Magchrom®

Magchrom® is a pearlescent pigment that maximizes chroma based on a synthetic fluorphlogopite (synthetic mica) substrate. Magchrom® was developed with CQV’s high-density TiO2 coating technology to create an effect pigment bearing unparalleled color intensity and iridescence.


Econa®

Econa® is a new eco-friendly effect material featuring a surface treatment of natural plant

extracts precipitated over a synthetic fluorphlogopite (synthetic mica) based iridescent pigment.

Natural plant extracts used in Econa® deliver antioxidant properties to the functional pearlescent pigment.

Econa® offers a variety of colors depending on the natural plant extract used

This optical phenomena is the aggregate result of reflected light as it passes through metal oxide coating layers of different refractive indices. Esorora® can achieve unique effects which are not found in general pearl gloss pigments when applied to color cosmetics.

Skolor® is a colored pigment manufactured by coating absorption colors onto the surface of a synthetic fluorphlogopite (synthetic mica) based pearlescent pigment. By combining selective pearlescent pigments with complimentary absorption colors, a myriad of color shades and effects are produced. Skolor® pigments offer dazzling color options to all cosmetic formulas.


Esochroma®

Esochroma® is a product manufactured by coating absorption colors onto highly functional optically variable pigments. By simultaneously implementing absorption colors onto highly functional photochromic effect materials, various color combinations are possible without going through a special dispersion process.


Glare®

Glare® is a pearlescent pigment coated with metal oxides on a calcium titanium borosilicate substrate. As compared to other substrates, calcium titanium borosilicate is a material that is largely transparent. The surface of this substrate is smooth and flat, revealing a finished pigment that offers high chroma and excellent gloss effects. Glare® pigments will impart sparkling effects and deepen the base color expression of any formulation.


Glare® Silver

Glare® Silver is a calcium titanium borosilicate base pearlescent pigment coated with silver.

Glare® Silver has strong sparkling effect and metallic silver color

from silver and calcium titanium borosilicate as substrate.

And Glare® Silver imparts sterilizing effect due to the silver which used in this product.

Skolor Glare®

Skolor Glare® is a colored pigment manufactured by coating absorption colors onto the surface of a pearlescent pigment based on a calcium titanium borosilicate substrate. By combining selective pearlescent pigments with complimentary absorption colors, a myriad of color shades and effects are produced. Skolor Glare® pigments offer dazzling color options to all cosmetic formulas. With the excellent gloss and chroma of the product itself, the sparkling effect is better than that of colored pearlescent pigments employing other substrates (eg; synthetic fluorphlogopite, mica, etc.).


Cosmetica® Natural

Cosmetica® Natural is a pearlescent pigment coated with metal oxides on mica (natural mica). Cosmetica® Natural may be applied widely from general to highly functional formulations through various types of effect pigments. Cosmetica® Natural is an eco-friendly product line that has obtained COSMOS certification and can be applied to vegan and natural concept cosmetics.


Magchrom® Natural

Magchrom® Natural is a pearlescent pigment that maximizes chroma based on a natural mica substrate.

Magchrom® Natural was developed with CQV’s high-density TiO2 coating technology

to create an effect pigment bearing unparalleled color intensity and iridescence.

Twinone™

Twinone™ SS-1000 is a premium PMSQ product. After years of research, CQV has succeeded in developing Twinone™ SS-1000; a PMSQ material with amphiphilic properties, soft-focus attributes, and a silky-feel texture. Oil is the main component of sebum secreted from the skin, and water is the main component of perspiration. With its amphiphilic nature, Twinone™ SS-1000 effectively and simultaneously controls both. Sebum oil and perspiration are absorbed, controlled, and maintained, while leaving the skin with a soft and silky feel. Natural looking, long-wear makeup is now possible with Twinone™ SS-1000.


Twinone™ Silica

TwinOne PS-2000 is a premium cosmetic-grade silica powder that is used in many makeup and personal care formulations.

TwinOne PS-2000 provides a softer touch and better soft-focus properties than conventional silica due to the unique particle structure of the raw material.

It may be considered as a completely natural alternative to micro-plastics.

TwinOne CS-3000 is the PS-2000 grade with an alkyl silane treatment to provide better dispersibility in certain formulations where necessary.


Spectra™

Spectra™ is an alumina-based pearlescent pigment. Developed with a different type of alumina substrate than the CQV Mirinae® brand, Spectra™ delivers a subtle soft-focus effect and provides a matte sheen as compared to other pearlescent pigments. Spectra™ can be used in various cosmetic formulations.

Alkor™

Alkor™ is the high purity aluminum metal silver dollar flake pastes developed using

CQV’s own milling and coating technology.

They impart true high metallic luster, and in combination with their narrow particle size distributions,

provide exceptional hiding power for a wide variety of applications.



Stellar™

Stellar™ product line is composed of high purity aluminum sliver dollar type

flakes coated with varying thicknesses of Fe2O3.

The resulting deep, rich, gold, orange, and red shades, have exceptional brilliance, high opacity,

and are specially treated to be waterborne compatible.

Further surface treatment provides long term durability and weather resistance.
